Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden enjoys family day with sons after ‘on-set clash with Isabel Hodgins’

Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden enjoyed a family day with his young sons after an ‘on-set clash' with co-star Isabel Hodgins.

Ignoring the speculation around the reported clash, the actor took to social media to document his wholesome afternoon with Bowie, five, and Ace, two.

Taking to Instagram, the 41 year old shared videos of his sons drawing while sitting at the dining table.

He captioned the post: "Our little artists… always coloring and crafting."

Both appeared to be content in spending their afternoon taking pen to paper, until Ace evidently got bored and began drawing on the underneath of the table instead.

Sharing a hilarious video of Ace up to no good, Matthew filmed the two year old doodling on the table, before spinning the camera round to show himself sighing and looking understandably unimpressed.

The actor shares the two and their 11 year old big brother Buster with his wife of three years, Charley Webb.

Fellow Emmerdale star Charley also documented the family’s afternoon on Instagram, and showed clips of Matthew cooking them a delicious-looking breakfast.

The couple’s relaxing afternoon with their kids comes afterhe and Isabel Hodgins allegedly butted heads while on the set of Emmerdalewhile filming Super Soap Week.

A heated argument reportedly erupted between the two while filming at Tees Barrage water park in Stockton-on-Tees.

A source toldThe Sun: "It left a lot of those present at the filming feeling uncomfortable. It was a very heated situation. Tempers were running very high. It was tense and bosses got to hear about what had gone on very quickly."

Another insider said: “The cast had travelled to film what they were calling the ‘Summer Stunt’ — dramatic waterfall scenes that aired on October 19.

“While they were on set a comment was made which unintentionally caused offence, and an argument broke out among some of the cast members. This was a massive deal for all of them and obviously everyone was under pressure to make scenes work.

“Emmerdale take these kind of allegations very seriously, and Matthew and Isabel did not film scenes while inquiries were made. It was not a decision they took lightly, as it had huge consequences for the team as they are massive characters. But the bosses felt it was a necessary step to take.

“They investigated the matter fully and are now satisfied that no further action is necessary. The actors are really professional.”
