Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins has revealed to fans that she thinks it's about time she was recognised for her efforts in the world of showbiz.

Chatting on The Gemma Collins Podcast, the self-confessed diva said: "I would like to get one day an OBE from the Queen. I’ve entertained the nation for coming up to 10 years now."

Gemma brought up the subject when she was questioned over the rumours of the Nobel Peace Prize, which she's reportedly been nominated for.

Squashing the rumours, the 39-year-old said: "There's a load of press that gets written about me.

"I couldn’t see why someone would want to nominate me, but I am all about world peace. Love conquers all."

Gemma then went on to say how she would change the world if given the chance.

"Every leader of every country should do a coronavirus style elbow pump. I’d like every world leader to join a Zoom call with me," she said.

"Everyone should understand the importance of what a cup of tea can do for the soul.

"Make it compulsory for children in schools and universities to really follow an animal conservation project.

"I would add some more holidays into the statutory four weeks of the year. That is not enough.

"I would make sure that everyone had more time," she added. "Maybe we could finish work earlier. People need more time to spend with their loved ones.

"That would make the world a happier, better and more peaceful place."

Concluding her speech, she then added: "Gemma for president!"

Taking a more serious stance on the current state of the world, and particularly how we're all managing in the current climate, Gemma went on to say: "Deep down at heart I’m a boho chick. I’m that flower power wild child.

"If anyone is struggling, life is about balance. It’s so important to get the right balance in your life.

"We need to get within ourselves and our souls to make ourselves and other people happy.

"For me this week I’m finding the time to pick up the phone," she added. "We need each other now more than ever."
