Louise Minchin, 52, had been a staple on BBC Breakfast for the past 20 years and is now enjoying a well-deserved rest, after stepping down from the programme last week. The TV presenter showed off her “rebel behaviour” last night, as she shared a snap of her clock on Instagram at 23.13pm and pointed out she was still “awake”.
Usually, Louise would be in bed long before that time, as she would need to get in a good night’s sleep in order to wake up for her daily 3.45am alarm.
However now she has quit BBC Breakfast, the star is able to be more “rebellious” and stay up late.
Louise also spilt a snippet of information regarding her brand new project for the first time, after announcing her exit from the morning show.
The star confessed during her final BBC Breakfast show that she will be taking part in a programme for World Menopause Day.
Louise said: “One of the things I can tell you that I’m doing after I leave, is I’m doing a programme about menopause for World Menopause Day.”
Her co-host Dan Walker recognised that it was the only piece of information that she had shared on her next steps.
The star has opened up about her struggles with menopause in the past.
Reflecting on her 2019 documentary about menopause, Louise previously told The Telegraph: “I genuinely felt I was going over some sort of cliff-edge – I was full of trepidation.
“But I just had this nagging feeling we should be doing something about the menopause.
“The younger generation are so good at talking about periods and being open, so why aren’t we?”
Louise was inundated with positive messages as she thanked fans for their ongoing support following the footage, and now it looks like she’s going to be getting involved once again.
In response to her departure, Dan posted a social media tribute to his on-screen partner.

Sharing a funny selfie of the pair, the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 contestant wrote: “Final week working with the amazing @louiseminchin on #BBCBreakfast.
“It’s going to be very strange without her after 5 and a half years. It might be a touch emotional by Wednesday.
“See you nice and early in the morning on BBC1.”
Louise is yet to say anything else on her new project, but it’s likely to not be too far off as she has now officially had her final day on BBC Breakfast.
Sharing a series of snaps from her last show, she said: “Wow, I never imagined my last day could be so full of happiness.
“Thank you for your messages, I am feeling overwhelmed by your kindness.
“It has been a joy and a privilege to work on BBC Breakfast and I will always feel like part of a huge family, thank you.”
She confessed that after almost 20 years she was excited to turn off her early alarm, adding: “That’s the thing I’m most looking forward to.”
