Love Island’s Maura Higgins lists herself as ENGAGED as she grows close to Tommy Fury in the villa

Love Island’s Maura was reportedly engaged to be married before entering the villa.

The gorgeous model, who has caught the eye of Tommy Fury, listed herself as “engaged” on shopping app Depop before her arrival into the ITV villa.

A spokesperson for Love Island insisted Maura is now single, but is appears she was previously set to tie the knot after flashing a ring on her finger and posing with a mystery man.

According to MailOnline, her engaged status was posted three years ago. She then changed the bio to “taken”.

Maura previously opened up on her relationship history before entering the villa, revealing she has been cheated on but has never cheated herself.

She has also been single since splitting up with her boyfriend last year.

She said: “I’m outgoing and I really am looking to find love. I’m a relationship type of girl. “I hate being single.

“I was in a nine-year relationship that finished a few years ago. Then I was with another guy, we broke up last year sometime, then we got back together but the trust was gone and it’s not going to come back.

“It ended quite recently. As the trust is just gone, for me, there is no going back.”

Maura has previously worked with singer Liam Payne and has revealed she’s always in the presence of top athletes.

She said: “Through my modelling work, I’ve worked with athletes and people who’ve been in the public eye. I did a visual shoot for Liam Payne as well.”
