He said he hadn’t felt ready to post about his shock accident until he was ‘out of the woods’ as he shared that his doctors are confident he will recover fully.

‘I wasn’t really prepared to post this until I was out of the woods proper, which I now think I am (hopefully!),’ Ollie wrote on Christmas Eve.

‘I fell off a balcony last weekend and ended up in intensive care with a broken pelvis, wrist and internal bleeding.

‘With the incredible support of @lauranofer, my family and friends and some great surgeons; I’m on the mend.

‘Tough rehab ahead but I am confident along with my doctors I will make a full recovery.

Nearly two years ago: The Lord-to-be, who hails from Cornwall and is heir to the Lanhydrock Estate, rose to fame after appearing on the first ever winter edition of Love Island in South Africa back in January 2020

‘I really couldn’t have dealt with this mentally without all of your messages of support, so thank you. Be back soon, big love and Merry Christmas all ✌’.

Other snaps in the post showed Ollie, who was on the 2020 winter series of Love Island, and Laura sharing a kiss as he sat in a wheelchair at a dining table.

And his family smiled for a picture next to their loved one as they all enjoyed a hot drink next to the Christmas tree in his hospital.

His immediate choice was to couple up with Paige Turley, who went on to win the show with her now-boyfriend Finley Tapp.

He told fellow Islanders about his love life, including that he cheated on his ex girlfriend nine times – but dramatically left the villa after admitting he was still in love with her.

The couple are still together now and she has proved to be a big part of his recovery following the balcony accident.

Next month, Love Island will return to the screens during the winter for the second time ever.

Speaking ahead of his Love Island debut, Ollie introduced himself: ‘My father is Lord of the Manor of Lanhydrock. The family title is Viscount Clifden.

‘When my father passes away or abdicates, as the eldest child, I will take on the titles and the estate. I’m the heir of Lanhydrock.’

‘Best chat up line I’ve ever used is, ‘Do you know Polzeath beach in Cornwall? I own it.’ That’s it. Chat up line, done.’

It’s estimated that the private unlimited company that owns Lanhydrock is worth around £9.2 million. It’s run by Ollie’s father Andrew, 52.

Socialite Ollie studied a Bachelor of Science degree in criminology at Royal Holloway University in London and currently works as a junior estate manager at Lanhydrock.
