Olly Murs celebrates birthday with private ice cream van visit and we're jealous

Olly Murs was surprised with a private ice cream van visit as he celebrated his birthday in style, and we’re totally jealous.

The Troublemaker singer gave fans a glimpse into his big day as he turned 36, alongside girlfriend Amelia Tank.

But he didn’t let lockdown get in the way of his celebrations, with birthday signs and banners hanging all over his swanky Essex mansion.

As well as cakes, cards and balloons, the Voice coach was also surprised by an ice cream van rocking up to his driveway, giving the pair a sweet treat.

In a clip, shared on his Instagram story, he couldn’t hide his happiness at hearing that infamous jingle play out.

‘This is amazing,’ he screamed. ‘Wow! To my house!’

Fancy sending it our way when you’re done?

Olly ended his big day by sharing an adorable snap of himself as he kissed Amelia on the cheek – while rocking a pair of purple Happy Birthday sunglasses.

Side note: It’s a total look.

Alongside the upload, he wrote: ‘So Chapter 36 begins. Thanks for all your amazing messages and love today!

‘Wow I won’t forget this birthday in a hurry! So very weird but at the same time loved every single second of it with this legend.’

Olly’s post comes after he was forced to apologise for a bizarre prank he played on his girlfriend, in which he cut the end off a tube of Pringles and seemingly put his penis in it, waiting for her to grab a crisp.

After showing his followers what he did to the tube, he filmed them having a movie night when she reached over for a snack, before a voiceover said: ‘Say hello to my little friend.’

Amelia branded the X Factor star a ’t**t’ as she recoiled, leaving some viewers feeling uncomfortable.

Fans were left divided over the TikTok video, leading the singer to offer an apology on Twitter.

‘So I’ve had a few days to think about this, and wanted to apologise to anyone who has been offended by my social videos,’ he said.

‘My intention was only to make people smile and laugh during these trying times. Am wishing you all a great bank holiday remember to #bekind #stayathome.’
