Sheryl Crow Shares Revamped Version Of ‘Woman In The White House’

In a revamped version of her 2012 B-side “Woman in the White House,” Sheryl Crow has once again called for electing a woman as the President of the United States.

“Don’t you think it’s time we put a woman in the White House/With a whole new attitude/We could use a little female common sense/Down on Pennsylvania Avenue,” Crow sings, accompanied by rocking guitars and pounding drums in place of original song’s country twang.

“When I first recorded this song 8 years ago, I was hopeful that we, as a nation, would seize the moment and put a Woman in the White House. That did not happen — but our movement of strength grows as we take to the streets and make our voices heard,” the singer-songwriter and actress said in a statement.

“We must not stop there,” she added. “It is time for us to show up to the polls, be seen and heard as the great leaders we are.”

Both the Republican and Democratic parties have chosen male candidates for the 2020 presidential election. However, Joe Biden has made it clear that he will be looking for a woman as his vice president.
