Former professional boxer Nicola Adams has been banned from returning to Strictly Come Dancing next year or for it's Christmas special.
The 38 year old and Katya Jones, 31, were axed from the show yesterday, 12 November, as they both went into self-isolation after it was announced professional dancer Katya had tested positive for coronavirus.
Now, a statement read on Loose Women explained that Nicola cannot return to the popular competition series "in the future" as she'd have an "unfair advantage" over other contestants.
Andrea McLean, 51, read the statemebt out to ITV viewers, which said: "We announced before the series stated if anyone tested positive from Covid they'd be out of the competition.

"If someone has to miss a week it's called a bye and everyone gets one bye. But contestants are not allowed to miss more than one week.
"They're not allowed to re-enter the competition after they've taken part in the first episode.
"Jamie (Laing) was allowed back because he was injured before he began training and appeared on the show. Nicola can't come back because she will have an unfair advantage in the future as she's now had weeks of training."
Andrea went on to share her confusion as she said: "This is the bit that I don't understand, she's not going to be allowed to dance in the Christmas special… Because that's not part of the competition."

Stacey Solomon, 31, then added: "Yeah, that seems so harsh."
Since news broke of Katya and Nicola's situation, it has been reported that Strictly bosses have been looking into how the star could have contracted the deadly virus and allegedly insisted she "must have broken the strict guidelines."
According to The Sun Online, the pair, who are the first same-sex couple on the show, trained together on Monday and Tuesday – and Katya tested positive that day.

The source claimed that at least four other member's of the show's crew were now in isolation, too, after they came into contact with Katya.
“The BBC’s top brass are mutinous. Obviously everyone is glad Katya is okay but they put incredibly strict rules in place for a reason – to keep everyone safe. It’s been drummed into everyone that they need to follow protocol at all times – and some are saying that Katya has clearly broken the rules.
"Katya has been living alone at her flat and people have speculated whether she caught it when she went to grab a sandwich during a break in training.

“The BBC have since spoken to all the celebs and dancers and they’ve been told to bring in packed lunches from now on," they continued.
“Apparently they’re all really paranoid because Katya had no symptoms and it’s a miracle Nicola didn’t get it as they were dancing so closely. The celebs have also all asked their families to isolate as much as possible, and get supermarket deliveries.
“Since they found out at least four people who work on the show have had to go into isolation – and obviously that could increase. It’s basically Strictly’s worst nightmare.”
