A BEAUTY pro has taken to TikTok to share the one mistake we’re all making when it comes to mascara. 

Christina and Alexis, known online as @thelipsticklesbians, regularly share beauty tips with their 133,000 followers. 

In a new video, Alexis reveals the one mistake most of us are making – and that's pumping the brush. 

At the start of the video, Christina asks: “What’s the number one mistake that people make when it comes to mascara?”

Alexis replies: “Oh my god, it’s this crazy thing that people do and I used to do it all the time. 

“When you just pump, pump, pump, pump, pump, pump.

Fans loved the beauty pro’s advice, with the video gaining more than 23,000 likes and 230,000 views. 

In the comments, the pair’s followers shared their reactions, with one writing: “OMG more ppl need to know this!!” 

Another said: “I have never understood why people pump their mascara. Where did it come from?!

.A third added: “Literally bought a new tube of Sky High mascara and didn’t pump it so obnoxiously and it lasted a month longer.”

Someone else shared their own technique, commenting: “I always put the applicator in and close it and smack it against my hand a few times like a nail polish lol.”
