Meghan Markle became known as ‘Harry’s hottie’ within a week of wedding & will NEVER return to royalty, author claims

MEGHAN Markle became known as “Prince Harry’s hottie” a week after marrying the royal prince and will never return to royal life, a biographer has claimed.

Royal author Sean Smith said on Lorraine how the Duchess of Sussex, 39, was a “very serious person” before meeting Harry, 35, but Britain “lost her” after their nuptials.

Sean, whose new book is called Meghan Misunderstood, said on the chat show today: “My feeling when I wrote the book is we lost her within a week actually.

“It was extraordinary. Here was a woman who went from being a human right's campaigner to Prince Harry's hottie, within a week.”

He added that we may “never” see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex return as senior royals.

The couple are currently living in a £11m mansion in Santa Barbara, California, with one-year-old Archie after stepping down earlier this year.

Sean championed Meghan’s life before marrying Harry, saying: “She was a very serious person before she met Prince Harry. Prince Harry doesn't come into my book till page 176.

“By then, Meghan had received a standing ovation led by the secretary general of the United Nations.”

Lorraine added: “It just seems terribly sad. They could have done so much good but it started to unravel in South Africa.

“She was highlighting incredible charities but it got overshadowed by her interview [for ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey].

“And all the great work they had done, nobody was talking about that.”

Sean said it was that bombshell documentary that made him interested to write about Meghan.

He said: “I thought, what's going on here? Why is she so upset? Who has been treating her poorly?

“It was, among other things, a very negative press and the men in grey suits in palace corridors.

“We haven't given her a fair crack of the whip.”

“I don't think there is any chance of them being full time working royals in the future. It was only if there was some kind of compromise, and it takes two sides to compromise.

“I think they'd make a great addition coming back as and when. I think everybody would be pleased to see them…they have enormous appeal.”

Sean disagreed with Lorraine that people welcomed Meghan to the UK.

He said Britain “treated Meghan like an other”, with Lorraine interrupting: “I don't think so. If we look back at that  wedding, everybody was delighted for them.

“We absolutely wanted her here. We welcomed her with open arms.”

This comes as Meghan and Harry "personally recognised" Remembrance Sunday in LA after Harry was reportedly refused permission for a wreath to be laid on his behalf at the Cenotaph.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were pictured laying flowers at the Los Angeles National Cemetery after The Times reported Buckingham Palace refused Harry's request because he no longer represents the monarchy.

The Queen was reportedly not told about her grandson's request.
