Quartersnacks Teams With Vans for Easygoing Takes on the Old Skool Pro and Lampin Pro
One may operate out of New York City while the other is based in Anaheim, but divergent coasts aside Quartersnacks and Vans have a lot in common — and now they’ve come together for easygoing takes on the Old Skool Pro and Lampin Pro. Drawing from ’90s skater style and the inherently youthful energy of street skating, both silhouettes feature a classic look that’s loaded with modern-day tech.
Old Skools are done up in navy blue leather with white contrast stitching, a white midsole with blue foxing, white laces and a bright yellow sockliner. On the other hand, the lesser-known Lampin looks to white leather on its upper and adds thick tri-color laces. Much like its more recognizable counterpart, it also features yellow collar lining and white midsoles with blue foxing. For a finishing touch, each also boasts debossed “25” hits for a nod to Quartersnacks’ quarter century anniversary.
From a performance standpoint, both the Old Skool Pro and Lampin Pro use PopCush insoles that cushion impact on hard landings and provide exemplary energy return for the wearer’s next trick. This soft-yet-responsive core is surrounded by Duracap — a hard-wearing rubber compound on each shoe’s lower half — that ensures long-lasting trip and traction.
The Quartersnacks x Vans Old Skool Pro and Lampin Pro are set to release via the Vans webstore and select skateshops come November 12. MSRPs have yet to be announced.
Elsewhere, Vans’ parent company VF Corp is set to acquire Supreme in a culture-shaking $2.1 million USD deal.
