Last month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they would “step back” from their role as senior members of the Royal Family.
Since then, it seems other royals have been taking on extra duties to cover the responsibilities.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex, has been a working royal since she married Prince Edward in 1999.
However, it is thought that fans could soon see more of her as she has a growing role.
Earlier this week, the Countess held a reception at Buckingham Palace for the top 100 Women Finance.
Pictures from the outing were shared on the official Royal Family Twitter page.
The caption read: “The Countess of Wessex this evening held a reception for @100WomenFinance at Buckingham Palace.
“HRH is Global Ambassador for the initiative, which aims to inspire the next generation of young women to explore a career in the financial sector.”
Sophie looked stunning wearing a classic black v-neck jumper with a small gold necklace.
The jewel featured a gold chain with a small handbag pendant that could have a significant meaning, Claire Adler luxury public relations consultant specialising in jewellery, explained.
She said: “There’s something undeniably feminine and empowering about a handbag and that symbolism on a pendant seemed very appropriate for the gathering Sophie Countess of Wessex hosted at Buckingham Palace for the top 100 women in finance, an event designed to increase the visibility of female role models.”

By choosing the item for a female focused event, Sophie could have been making a nod to the successful women she was supporting.
The Countess will often wear eye-catching pieces of jewellery whenever she steps out.
Although this piece was simpler than some of the royal jewels she has worn, Sophie’s necklace is still likely to be rare.
Claire added: “Handbag pendants aren’t as common as one might think although there are a fair number of lovely vintage examples online include this Christian Dior one on Farfetch.
“Sophie’s one looks like it is gold with pave diamonds.
“Interestingly, handbags have a long history of being linked to jewellery through the minaudière.
“This is a bejewelled evening handbag and a jewel all rolled into one, like those by Van Cleef & Arpels – the Parisian jewellery house worn by Kate Middleton to the Baftas recently.”
