Weekly horoscope for October 11 – October 17 your week ahead according to Kerry King and her tarot cards – The Sun
EVERY Sunday, our resident Tarotscope reader Kerry King will be revealing what surprises, challenges and excitement awaits you in the week ahead.
Kerry has been practising tarot readings for the last 20 years, starting from reading for friends to amassing an international client list.
Using her strong intuition and deep knowledge and understanding of the horoscope, she is able to provide accurate and encouraging predictions for the coming days.
Here’s her predictions for YOUR star sign…
ARIES (Five of Wands, Justice, Eight of Swords)
Being ruled by Mars makes you super-fiery and competitive, and people rarely tangle with you twice!
However, a row is brewing, as shown by the Five of Wands, and you can feel your Mars-like energy starting to build up.
It’s like a volcano, and god help those in your path when it blows!
Justice and the Eight of Swords ask you to do things differently this time, Aries, and to resist your inner warrior’s urges to go into battle.
This can be handled diplomatically and calmly, and consequently be a lot less of a headache to deal with.
Why make life so hard for yourself? Why stir things up more?
Don’t react to their shenanigans. Let karma deal with them (she will…). You do you. Take care of your side of the street, play nice, stay out of their way, deal with your own business.
This will pass by and you will be relieved you didn’t engage. Take the high road.
TAURUS (Six of Coins, The Emperor, Ace of Wands)
Someone needs you to do something nice/kind/good for them, but they’re not going to ask and this has got to be initiated and executed by you, off your own back.
The Emperor shows that you need to take the lead here, and the Ace of Wands reveals you’re not necessarily used to that.
You’re more of a reactor than an initiator. You prefer to respond to firm prompts and instructions, vs trying to guess what others want or need.
Wouldn’t they just ask you, for heaven’s sake, if it was so important?
Taurus, lean in and recognise where you’ve not been 100% present with someone important.
Recognise they may need to hear from you, or see you, or get something from you to reassure them of their significance.
The Six of Coins shows this is a purely altruistic and kind act. You’re not doing it to gain reward, nor to provoke any specific reaction.
You are making someone else’s day, just for the sake of it. And, let me tell you, it’s going to feel good!
GEMINI (Queen of Cups, The Chariot, Strength)
Movement and travel are very important to you, Gemini, because you need new horizons and fresh landscape to stimulate your active mind and keep you entertained (i.e. out of trouble). New news is essential, and, so far, 2020 has sucked!
The Queen of Cups shows that circumstances have taken a greater toll on your mood and emotions than you’re prepared to reveal to others.
You are so private about your deepest feelings.
Strength is a big reassurance that you’re going to be okay, you know, and things will get better, and what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.
You are developing emotional muscles and depths of resilience this year that will see you through your whole life!
The Chariot shows you need to focus on movement and progress and get out there this week. If you can’t, then make some forward-thinking plans about travel, journeys, location changes, new horizons.
You need something to aim for, and it’s time to activate those ideas and ambitions.
Set a stretching goal that involves movement and travel.
CANCER (Three of Cups, Queen of Wands, The Tower)
The Tower is one of those cards that most of us grimace at, because it predicts sudden and unexpected events or revelations which lead to the collapse or end of something in our lives.
However, fear not Cancer, because it’s always something that we, deep down, knew wasn’t right for us, and the Universe is kind of doing us a favour by ending it for us, on our behalf.
So, let it go.
The Three of Cups shows this might be a romance or friendship, and one which has served its purpose or run its course (you don’t like letting go of anyone, I know, but you gotta’!).
The Queen of Wands shows that you will recover from this remarkably fast, and easily- way faster than you think you will! You haven’t realised what a dead weight and heavy burden this relationship has become.
You are so over it, Cancer. Embrace whatever it is that knocks it off its perch and let it topple.
It’s done with and you’re ready for something, or someone, new.
LEO (Queen of Coins, Two of Cups, The Devil)
The Two of Cups is a BIG romance card, and indicates your closest relationship (or the prospect of a future one) is on your mind this week.
You have made many discoveries about yourself this year, and one of the learnings is how you are, or what you need, in a relationship.
The Devil shows that you’ve identified some repeat patterns and behaviours that you want to address.
You recognise where you trip yourself up, either in your selection of, or behaviour with, partners.
You see the pitfalls now, and you know you want to be different in future.
What’s stopping you? Start a new leaf today.
The Queen of Coins shows that some of this is linked to your sense of independence and self-reliance, both materially and emotionally.
Perhaps a “younger you” sought greater validation and dependency that you now feel you need. Perhaps you can see times when you’ve had too high an expectation of a relationship, as if it should provide everything you needed in life.
Perhaps you want to build up your own material wealth and security before joining forces with another. Whatever has triggered these thoughts, let it flow.
This insight is invaluable and life-changing. Know thyself, Leo.
VIRGO (King of Wands, The World, The Hierophant)
You have strong opinions. You think deeply about morals and standards and rules. You don’t always speak your mind though, because you are incredibly polite and tactful (most of the time).
This isn’t one of those times, however, because the King of Wands and The Hierophant combine forces to see you speaking out on what you believe in.
Maybe to the utter surprise of others. Perhaps those around you don’t share your views, and you’ve grown tired of bending to their will or ignoring their rants.
Perhaps it’s a social media meltdown (please no, resist that with all of your might!).
Maybe you want to get involved in a charity, campaign or local group whose views or stance you back.
Putting your money where your mouth is, so to speak.
The World reveals that this belief is something significant, possibly global, and represents an ethical position that you will hold true to for a long time, so do invest in expressing yourself and backing whatever it is.
Speak out, lean in, join up, and do your bit for the greater good, Virgo.
LIBRA (Page of Swords, Nine of Cups, Queen of Swords)
You’re entering into the realms of magical thinking rather than facing the reality and tackling the issues.
It’s tempting, with the optional Page of Swords and wish-come-true Nine of Cups, to hope someone else will step up and sort this all out for you.
Even better, to fall into a “Sleeping Beauty”-type slumber and emerge when it’s all over. Unlikely though, eh. Wake up, Libra, and smell the coffee!
The Queen of Swords brings you the intellectual and analytical energy, this week, to unpick this little mess and see your way to what needs doing.
There is a solution, and you just need to face the reality and address the obstacles, and you can do it. In fact, only you alone can do it.
No one is going to do this for you, and the sooner you begin, the sooner you can tick it off your list and move on to something more fun and pleasurable.
This can quickly be resolved. Get to it, and get past it.
SCORPIO (The Fool, Knight of Swords, Four of Wands)
An opportunity to get ahead and begin on a new adventure emerge in your world this week, Scorpio, but it might look more difficult than it is, so don’t be put off!
The Fool is the key card, and represents fresh starts and clean slates.
A chance to set off on a new journey, which looks exciting and fun.
Most things start well, don’t they, but already you can see there’ll be issues down the line.
The Knight of Swords reveals that you can already see the wisps of smoke ahead, hinting at conflict and spats with other people, perhaps rivals or even someone who’ll try to block your way.
Scorpio, toughen up and get cracking because you’ve got this!
The Four of Wands shows that, as well as some obstacles (that you can handle), there are great rewards and recognition also in store on this path.
You will be forging ahead and making progress, possibly in work or in your own levels of wealth and security, and any stress or tension will be resolvable and even worth it.
Nothing good comes too easily, after all.
Set off with optimism and enthusiasm, and deal with the obstacles as they arise rather than sitting paralysed and in dread of what may unfold. You can handle anything, my friend.
SAGITTARIUS (Ace of Swords, The Fool, Six of Swords)
If ever a trio of cards spelled the message ‘leave, and make a fresh start’ then it’s this trio! The Ace of Swords is a nudge to be really, brutally honest with yourself this week.
There’s something you’ve been avoiding facing, and it’s there lurking underneath all the time.
Say it out loud. Discuss it. Voice it and express it, and assess how you feel now.
The Fool and the Six of Swords combine to reveal that this is linked to leaving something behind in order to start anew on another journey or adventure.
You are worried this is going to be difficult or risky or painful, and I can reassure you that it won’t be!
You are ready for this, more than ready actually. It is time to move on from things which have run their course, and which no longer serve you well.
In doing so, you are free to jump into a new chapter and start writing an exciting story. This isn’t going to be a hard decision to execute, once you’ve made it, because this has been brewing for a long time.
Be honest about where you believe things have come to an end. And be optimistic about what you can, and will, replace them with.
CAPRICORN (Page of Wands, Queen of Coins, Knight of Cups)
You are going to be wearing a lot of different “hats” this week, if you know what I mean. Different roles.
Different aspects of yourself, as triggered by your relationships with others.
We are all different with different people, but I think you’ll become really aware of, and intrigued by, this side of you this week.
First up- the Page of Wands. This is your entrepreneurial side.
You are experimenting and ideating, trying to come up with innovative approaches to issues in your work world.
You have an “anything goes” attitude when you’re like this, and are open to new news. Then- the Queen of Coins.
All business! It’s all about the bottom line, the feasibility of your plans, the robustness of your strategy.
You are tough and questioning, supportive but challenging. Nothing gets past you, and nothing is wasted. This is what others come to you for.
And, lastly- the Knight of Cups. Not as many people know this side of you. The witty, attractive, wryly observing comic and charmer.
You can make people laugh with your insights and observations.
You can cheer others up. Make a note to do more of that this week- we all need it!
AQUARIUS (Ten of Cups, The Hanged Man, The High Priestess)
A key relationship has stalled and gotten stuck in a moment, and you’re incredibly frustrated by your lack of success in your efforts to “unstick” it and get it going again.
This is reflected by the limbo-creating Hanged Man and the loving Ten of Cups. What has gone wrong?
Aquarius, you have to stop pushing and start listening and understanding.
You can’t solve this alone, and you can’t just “think your way” out of it or through it.
You need to know what is going on underneath, what is driving this tension or chasm, and what triggers the conflict or silences you’ve started to experience.
And you need to talk to the other person to find this out, and then ponder on what they’ve told you.
The High Priestess hints that, deep deep down, you already KNOW the root cause of the problem, and I suspect you might think you’re behind it, so you’d rather not look at that.
Aquarius, you’ve got to, because otherwise this relationship is in jeopardy.
Face the role you’ve played in creating a divide between you, and think about how you can fix that, or at least address it and try to move on from it.
Be compassionate and calm, have a good discussion, then take it away and reflect on it. A solution and an answer will emerge when you slow down and try to understand.
PISCES (The Chariot, Strength, Ace of Wands)
You are embarking on a new adventure, Pisces, and I can wave you ‘bon voyage’ with confidence because this is going to be great!
The Chariot represents literal physical travel, journeys and location changes, so whatever transport or movement plans you’ve got going on, they are going to be positive and rewarding.
The Ace of Wands shows it’s something new and fulfilling, inspiring and exciting. You are pleased and optimistic about your new ideas, and you are looking forward to executing them.
This is authentically “you” and it reflects your personality and motivations perfectly.
Pisces, you are moving closer to your niche in this world, good for you!
Strength is a reminder that no journey ever goes totally smoothly, and, no doubt, you will encounter some obstacles and issues, but that they will be overcome and you will relish the challenge because it brings you experience and wisdom and confidence in yourself.
We don’t learn from success, we learn from trial and failure, so a healthy dose of it is no bad thing.
Set off with high hopes on whatever journeys, travel or location change plans you’ve got this week, because you are on the right path!
