I can't stop cross-dressing when I take drugs but my wife won't accept it

DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I’m drunk and doing cocaine, I have a desire to wear my wife’s underwear and dresses.

My wife takes drugs with me but then I want to wear her clothes. Sometimes she doesn’t mind but mostly she does and refuses.

I want to stop because it causes arguments, but it is so hard. I have worn knickers since I was a young lad.

I am 43 and my wife is 41. We have been married for 15 years.

I took coke the other night and got the urge to dress up again, but I didn’t want to upset my wife.

I just can’t stop.

DEIDRE SAYS: The urge to cross-dress will be a deep-rooted aspect of your personality which you can’t change.

Your wife has accepted this about you, up to a point.

Tell her you love her but can’t suppress this. Ask what would make her more comfortable around it.

My support pack, Cross-Dressing Worries, will help your wife understand your needs.

The drug-taking is a habit you can kick. Contact Cocaine Anonymous UK (0800 612 0225, cauk.org.uk) for advice and guidance.
