Kate Middleton’s white bridesmaids dresses were 10 years ahead of the trend

Kate Middleton is known for sticking to the Royal rules when it comes to dressing, but that doesn't meant the Duchess isn't a trendsetter.

For her and Prince William's wedding day in April 2011, Kate, now 40, wowed in her incredible white lace Alexander McQueen gown.

For the amazing ceremony, Kate chose to work with childrenswear designer Nicki Macfarlane on the beautiful, white satin dresses that the younger bridesmaids wore.

Kate wasn't the only royal to opt for white dresses all round, as seven years later Meghan Markle followed in her footsteps and dressed her own bridesmaids in white for her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

Meghan worked with Clare Waight Keller and the Givenchy Haute Couture Atelier in Paris to create her six young bridesmaids’ sweet dresses.
