Supermarket May Bank Holiday opening times 2022: Are Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Aldi open this weekend?

IF you haven't stocked up on food for the May bank holiday, don't worry as most major supermarkets will be open.

While they might have slightly different opening times, you should be able to grab your groceries without trouble.

It’s worth checking shopping hours over the weekend and on bank holiday Monday itself (on May 2) so you’re not caught out.

Stores normally will only close completely on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday, so this bank holiday you will be able to visit your favourite supermarket.

Opening times will vary between stores.

Aldi opening times

Aldi is keeping its doors open over the bank holiday, although opening hours have been reduced slightly.

On the bank holiday Monday, it will open from 8am and close two hours early at 8pm.

Times can vary so it's best to check with the store locator tool that Aldi provides to be on the safe side.

Aldi has around 900 shops in the UK. Here's when you can expect them to be open:

  • Saturday April 30: 8am – 10pm
  • Sunday May 1: 10am – 4pm
  • Monday May 2: 8am – 8pm

  • Sunday May 2: 10am -4pm
