Friday Fortnite Week 2 Bracket: Ninja, PewDiePie headline tournament

KEEMSTAR’s Friday Fortnite is back on June 7 for some Week 2 action, and this week we’ll see Ninja teaming up with PewDiePie instead of his World Cup partner Reverse2k.

If you missed Week 1, the tournament is pretty simple. Each pair of contestants will join a public squad game with their opponent. But even though they are squadmates, the duos are battling against one another to get as many eliminations as possible. Getting a Victory Royale essentially means nothing in this tournament. It’s all about getting elims.

This continues on round to round until there are two duos remaining for the championship. There is also a losers bracket, and as you can see in the bracket below, the losers get to play the winners at the end of the tournament.

Friday Fortnite Week 2 Bracket

When does Friday Fortnite Start?

How can I watch Friday Fortnite?

UMG will be hosting the event above where you can watch all of the action at once. But if you just want to watch a specific streamer, they will likely be streaming on their personal channels. In Week 1, Ninja streamed on his own channel during the tournament.

Friday Fortnite rules

Pairs of competitors will join a squad match. The duo with the higher amount of kills after two matches advances. The higher seeded team hosts the first match, and then the lower-seeded team hosts the second match. Duos are not allowed to sabotage the other Duos.

Examples of sabotage:

You should have everything you need to know about the event now.

Billionaire Bloomberg gives $500 MILLION to shut down every coal mine

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg gives $500 MILLION to shut down every coal mine in the U.S. by 2030, calling climate change the ‘fight of our time’

  • Former New York mayor, who has a net worth of $54 billion, gives $500 million to the Beyond Carbon initiatives
  • It wants to shut nearly 250 coal plants throughout the country by 2030 and prevent new ones being built
  • Bloomberg had mulled running for president as a Democrat but decided against and how says: ‘We’re in a race against time with climate change.’
  • He has pledged a total $1 billion toward fighting climate change, including the 2011 Beyond Coal effort, which has so far closed 289 coal plants in the US.

Close them down: Michael Bloomberg is using $500 million of his $54 billion estimated fortune to campaign to end coal mining in the U.S. in just over a decade

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg said Thursday he will spend half a billion dollars in the ‘fight of our time’ to move the U.S. away from carbon energy and combat climate change.

The former New York mayor and philanthropist said the $500 million investment will go toward launching the Beyond Carbon initiative, which aims to close nearly 250 coal plants throughout the country by 2030 and prevent new ones being built.

‘We’re in a race against time with climate change, and yet there is virtually no hope of bold federal action on this issue for at least another two years,’ Bloomberg said in a statement.

‘Mother Nature is not waiting on our political calendar, and neither can we.’

Bloomberg added the new campaign means he has pledged a total $1 billion toward fighting climate change, including the 2011 Beyond Coal effort, which has so far closed 289 coal plants in the U.S.

On its website, Beyond Carbon said it plans to work toward a ‘100 percent clean energy economy’ and will also campaign against the construction of new gas plants in the US.

The initiative will ‘turbo-charge work that is underway… empower elected officials and citizens who are leading it, mobilize citizens who support it,’ and uphold US commitments to the Paris Climate Agreement, it added.

Bloomberg, who is the UN Secretary-General’s climate change envoy, tweeted it was the ‘the largest-ever coordinated campaign to tackle the climate crisis our country has ever seen. This is the fight of our time.’

He planned to publicly announce the program during a commencement address at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Friday.

Bloomberg, 77, was the centrist mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013. His vast fortune was estimated at some $55.5 billion last year, according to Forbes.

Political observers have long speculated over whether he would run for president, but in March he ruled himself out as a Democratic candidate, writing on his Bloomberg media platform he wanted to affect change outside of Washington.

In his crosshairs: Bloomberg wants mines such as Spring Creek, near Decker, Montana, to stop production entirely by 2030

Bloomberg vowed to devote his considerable financial muscle toward addressing some of the nation’s major challenges, including climate change, gun violence, the opioid crisis, failing public schools and college affordability.

‘I love our country too much to sit back and hope for the best as national problems get worse,’ he said.

‘But I also recognize that until 2021, and possibly longer, our only real hope for progress lies outside of Washington.’

The 2015 Paris accord enjoins nations to work towards limiting global temperature rises to ‘well below’ two degrees Celsius (3.6 Fahrenheit) and to a harder cap of 1.5C if possible.

To do so, governments must commit to curbing greenhouse gas emissions — the leading source of which is burning fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal for power.

The UN Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change warned last October that warming is currently on track towards a catastrophic 3-4C rise.

Fifty coal-fired power plants have shut in the United States since President Donald Trump came to office two years ago, environmental organization The Sierra Club reported in May.

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have called it quits after four years together.

Reports surfaced Thursday night that the 44-year-old Oscar nominee and the 33-year-old supermodel, who are parents to 2-year-old daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, decided to end their relationship. This split news comes amid much speculation about the status of Cooper and Shayk’s romance.

While Shayk was by Cooper’s side throughout award season earlier this year, the A Star Is Born director was absent from the 2019 Met Gala, an event the couple had attended together over the years. Instead, Shayk walked the red carpet without Cooper on the first Monday in May, adding more fuel to the split rumors.

“Things get a little bit better but then they find themselves back in the same place of questioning whether being a couple is what’s best,” a source recently shared with E! News. “They want to stay together for their daughter, but neither of them are very happy.”

Cooper and Shayk welcomed their daughter in March 2017, about two years after the duo first sparked romance rumors.

Kate Spade’s Husband Shares Moving Tribute to Late Designer: ‘Heaven Is Lucky to Have You’

Just over one year after Kate Spade‘s tragic death by suicide, her husband and business partner Andy Spade is honoring her memory by planting a tree outside of the house he shares with their daughter, Frances Beatrix, 14.

On Thursday — one day after the anniversary of the designer’s death at the age of 55 — Andy, 56, shared an Instagram tribute to his late wife.

“Dear Katy, this tree is for you,” he began, captioning a photo of a Christmas tree. “Bea and [I] are planting it outside of our big window to keep your magical spirit and energy close to us everyday. It will bless our new home in California and radiate your essence 365 days a year.”

Andy continued by thanking Kate for “all of the wonderful gifts you gave me over the years.”

“For your beauty, intelligence and grace under pressure,” he wrote. “For your boundless generosity, unflappable honesty and kindness to all living things. For your strength, courage and conviction to your ideals. For your belief in me and so many others. For your infectious laughter and sharp wit.”

He added: “There was never a dull moment with you. Through the peaks and valleys and alleyways we serpentined through together you were always there. We grew up together, helped raise one another yet vowed to retain our innocence as best we could. You taught me that modesty is always the best policy, to see the good in everyone and to stand up for the crazy and less fortunate.”

Andy went on to call his late wife “my best friend, my confidant, my partner in life, business and mischief. The ying to my yang and the zig to my zag.”

“We played ping pong with ideas,” he wrote. “You were and still are my Superwoman. I hope you know how many people you inspired through the example you set in the way you lived and the work you created.”

He concluded by writing: “You were and still are my favorite poem. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all you have given me and so many others. May your bright, multicolored spirit shine down on us everyday. Heaven is lucky to have you but please know you are truly missed by us still here on earth.”

“He has been in California taking care of his daughter,” she said.

Since Kate’s death, Andy has posted multiple images on Instagram in tribute to his late wife.

In September, he posted an photo of a garden hose and a red plant, writing, “Reminding myself to stay the course of beauty for her.”

One month later, in October, he shared another photo of a Christmas tree, writing, “4 months. Aluminum foil and cardboard star. Store bought bow. Planting a Christmas tree in my yard so I never forget the beauty of her.”

Kate was found dead by suicide in her New York City apartment on June 5, 2018. Andy revealed on the day of her death that she was in treatment for depression and anxiety.

“Kate suffered from depression and anxiety for many years. She was actively seeking help and working closely with her doctors to treat her disease, one that takes far too many lives. We were in touch with her the night before and she sounded happy,” he said in a statement.

Irina Shayk Spotted Snuggling Daughter, 2, While Out After Bradley Cooper Split — Pic

On the same day news broke that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk had split, she stepped out for a solo outing with the pair’s adorable daughter, Lea.

Irina Shayk, 33, is putting her focus on her daughter, Lea, 2, after splitting from Bradley Cooper, 44. Just hours before news of the pair’s breakup broke, Irina was photographed out and about with their adorable little girl. They were heading into an art studio in Los Angeles when photographers snapped the pics, and Irina was snuggling Lea close while carrying her inside. At one point, she even planted a kiss on her forehead. Irina looked stunning in a striped jumpsuit for the outing, and her attention was clearly all on Lea, despite all the paparazzi.

Bradley was nowhere in sight for the outing, but later that night, People reported that the couple had ended their relationship after four years together. Reps for the stars did not confirm the news, but reports that the pair was on the rocks had been surfacing in the weeks leading up to People’s story broke. However, Bradley and Irina were just photographed out together with Lea at the end of May, so they’ve clearly been able to put their differences aside for the sake of their daughter, when needed.

The exes are currently trying to figure out custody of the two year old, according to People’s report. News of their split comes after Irina was by Bradley’s side throughout the 2019 award season, where he was nominated at various shows for his roles as an actor and director in A Star Is Born.

Bradley and Irina got together in April 2015, just weeks after he ended his previous relationship with Suki Waterhouse. They confirmed they were expecting their first child together in Nov. 2016, when Irina debuted a baby bump at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Review: ‘Big Little Lies’ Season 2 is almost as exquisite as the original

In 2017, “Big Little Lies” was a sensation.

An HBO series with movie stars (Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon plus Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz), it became a ratings hit for the premium cable network and won a bucket full of Emmy awards. The seventh and final episode of that season was adored, with a poetic and gorgeous ending to the tale of women in a rich California town involved in lies and (eventually) death.

So although it competed in the limited series category at the Emmys, it seemed all but inevitable that the network would go back to this prestigious well for more, a choice that made some fans and critics (including this one) worry that “Lies” would undo all its good work by stretching the story beyond its natural conclusion.

Creator David E. Kelley and producers Witherspoon and Kidman knew they had to find a compelling reason to return to Monterey, and, after a shaky start, they do.

From the first three episodes made available for review, the second season (Sunday, 9 EDT/PDT, ★★★½ out of four), is nearly as breathtaking as the original. “Lies” remains an immensely satisfying platform for superb performances (now with 100% more Meryl Streep), one that gives women’s issues, often seen as frivolous, the weight they deserve. The new season echoes themes from the first – abuse, trauma, anxiety, loneliness – and finds new dimension as the story of the big little lies tumbles into chaos.

The new season begins about a yearlater, and brings us back to the first day of school as Madeline (Witherspoon), Celeste (Kidman), Jane (Woodley), Bonnie (Kravitz) and Renata (Dern) reunite to drop off their children for elementary school. There’s an unspoken bond between thes “Monterey Five,” irrevocably linked by Perry’s (Alexander Skarsgard) death at the school fundraiser.

Since then, each of the women has handled her role in it differently. Madeline doubled down on her mother-hen persona. Celeste, plagued by night terrors and lingering feelings for her late abusive husband, withers under the influence of her mother-in-law Mary Louise (a joyfully unrestrained Streep) and is unable to move on. Bonnie, the woman who actually pushed Perry down the stairs, has completely shut down. Jane, finally free from her rapist, is thriving at a new job and even trying to date. And Renata is just happy to be included in the group.

Meryl Streep as Mary Louise on "Big Little Lies." (Photo: HBO)

But as much as the women would like to put Perry in their past, Detective Quinlan (Merrin Dungey) still lurks, causing trouble. The secret, and all the little lies that built up to it, start to unravel fairly quickly, as Mary Louise and the women’s husbands start to figure it out.

It’s initially disappointing to see the story move on from that beautiful scene on the beach in the Season 1 finale. That first season was based on the Liane Moriarty novel, and there was no new material on which to base a second. But once the actresses start to dig into their roles again, and especially when Dern starts to unleash the full power of her Emmy-winning performance as Renata, the season justifies its existence (with the help of Moriarty, writing behind the scenes).

Not only does “Lies” find another story worth telling, it course corrects some of the first season’s missteps. The new episodes dispense with the Greek chorus of Monterey citizens discussing the women and also gives far more screen time to Bonnie, the only woman of color in the central cast. Kravitz, who was criminally underutilized last time, shines as brightly as her co-stars.

Zoe Kravitz as Bonnie on "Big Little Lies." (Photo: HBO)

Lots of praise and attention will be given to Streep, but in many ways, the Oscar-winning actress is incidental to the success of Season 2. She’s wonderful, as she almost always is, but the real joy of “Lies” is the five core women, who have made their characters feel so lived in.

For once, Hollywood has found a way to gracefully re-create a phenomenon.

Mamma Mia 3: ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus REVEALS what it would take for sequel to happen

Last summer Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hits cinemas a decade after the original ABBA movie musical. And since then fans have been wondering if there will ever be a Mamma Mia 3. Now Björn himself has spoken out on the possibility of another sequel, ahead of the opening of Mamma Mia! The Party in London this summer. Speaking on Magic Radio, the 74-year-old said: “I doubt that very much, but I probably said after the first film that there won’t be a second.”

The ABBA star continued: “So, you never know.

“But, you know, why we did the second film was that [Ol] Parker and Richard Curtis came up with this idea and that’s why we did it.

“So, if someone comes up with an idea for Mamma Mia 3 you know I’ll have a look at it. We’ll have a look at it.”

Asked if he had been approached with an idea for another sequel, Björn replied: “Not yet actually. Not anyone serious anyway”

Assuming Mamma Mia 3 goes ahead, just what could it be called?

Jokes among fans have already been suggesting such corkers as Mamma 3ia, Knowing 3 Knowing You and Take A Chance On 3.

But silliness aside, we reckon there’s only one obvious option, and we’re not talking Andy Garcia’s suggested Fernando spin-off.

Surely Mamma Mia 3 should be called, Mamma Mia! Thank You For The Music. It works on so many levels, and here’s why.

First off, it doesn’t sound silly like the others. Secondly, it directly references another well-known ABBA song.

Thirdly, it leans on the fact that the Mamma Mia movies are musicals.

Fourthly, it was what bridged the first two movies: The end credits of Mamma Mia has Amanda Seyfried singing Thank You For The Music and the sequel begins with her singing the same track.

And fifthly, and most convincingly, it’s a conclusive title looking back at all the sunny, fun times had across the films. Last week Amanda was asked about a third film and she admitted to having mixed feeling.

Darts: Singapore's Paul Lim and Harith Lim stun third seeds Wales in World Cup

SINGAPORE – He has often referred to himself as the supporting actor to Singapore’s darts legend Paul Lim.

But on Thursday (June 6), Harith Lim stepped up to the oche and delivered the dagger shot – a double 16 – as the Republic stunned third seeds Wales, comprising Grand Slam of Darts champion Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, 5-3 in the first round of the PDC World Cup of Darts in Germany.

The local duo are not on the Professional Darts Corporation world rankings but, according to Darts Database, Harith is ranked 605th, while Paul is 184th.

In comparison, Price and Clayton are fifth and 24th respectively.

The Lims, who are not related, will meet Japan’s Seigo Asada and Haruki Muramatsu, who edged Gibraltar’s Dyson Parody and Antony Lopez 5-4, in the second round on Saturday for a place in the last eight at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg.

Harith, a 49-year-old former world youth champion, told The Straits Times: “It’s a nice accomplishment because Wales are No. 3. We played solid (with a three-dart average of 92.51 to Wales’ 83.22) and kept them under pressure.

“When I approached that double 16, I told myself I was going to hit this to make up for the two earlier misses at a double 20 finish in the second and third leg. I felt good but it didn’t go my way then, but I made up for it with the winning shot and it feels great.”

Paul, 65, added their partnership was a strong one based on trust and confidence in each other.

He noted: “Harith shot really well today. All I want is a partner like that, all the time. We are the underdogs but I always feel that in this doubles format, we have a good chance.

“When it comes to doubles, we always play together as a team. We know each other for a long time, we play together and room together for a long time. We are like brothers. Regardless of what happens, I know he tries his best, and I try my best.”

The Singapore pair have made a habit of producing shocks in this competition. In 2017, they beat top seeds Scotland – featuring world No. 2 Gary Anderson and No. 3 Peter Wright – in the first round and then Spain in the second round before losing to Belgium in the quarter-finals.

Last year, they beat New Zealand in the first round and faced second seeds England in the next round where Paul shocked defending world champion Rob Cross in his singles match, but Singapore eventually fell 2-1.

Paul said while they are taking one game at a time, they hope to play on Sunday, when the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are held.

Harith added: “We know them pretty well from the PDC Asian Tour and soft-tip circuit. If we are able to play our A game, we will have a very good chance.”
