Dele Alli ‘still in the dark’ over his Tottenham exile under Jose Mourinho after summer transfer moves rejected
TOTTENHAM star Dele Alli remains 'in the dark' over his recent omission from several matchday squads, reports claim.
The England international has played just 21 minutes of Premier League football since being hooked at half-time of the opening day defeat to Everton.
Manager Jose Mourinho hasn't even included Alli, 24, on the bench for the Lilywhites' last three Premier League games.
And according to the Mail, Mourinho still hasn't had a conversation with Alli to explain his frequent omissions.
The 37-cap star also hasn't been told why he wasn't allowed to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan – despite the French champions having made three bids.
Alli's only Premier League appearance since the opening day was as a substitute against Manchester United last month.
He has since only featured in the matchday squad twice, coming off the bench for a 28 minute cameo against LASK.
He was last seen getting hooked at half-time in the 1-0 defeat to Antwerp on Thursday night.
It is understood that PSG remain interested in Alli.
And the Ligue 1 giants could return for him in January.
Alli has been omitted from Gareth Southgate's England squad, last featuring for the Three Lions in June 2019.
It is understood that there has been no explicit falling out between Alli and Mourinho.
But the midfielder no longer features in the 57-year-old's plans, and could depart in order to revive his Euro 2020 hopes.
