'He had wrong mindset' – Eddie Hearn claims Dillian Whyte no longer a 'bad motherf****r' after brutal loss to Tyson Fury

EDDIE HEARN believes Dillian Whyte is no longer a “bad motherf****r” and questioned the star’s mindset after his brutal defeat to Tyson Fury.

The Body Snatcher was knocked out by the Gypsy King with a ferocious uppercut in the sixth round at Wembley on Saturday.

The 34-year-old has since accused Fury of using an "illegal" push and slammed referee Mark Lyson after his knockout loss.

Whyte, who earned £5.8million compared to the WBC champion’s £26.2m for Saturday’s fight, was previously promoted by Hearn.

And the Matchroom chief, who was not involved in this showdown, admits he feared for the Brixton boxer after he was being friendly with Fury in last week’s pre-fight media outings.

Speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show, Anthony Joshua’s promoter said: “It was well documented that it was a fantastic payday.

Whyte slams Fury for ‘illegal’ move and blames referee for defeat

“He’s made a lot of money. He could still be involved in some great fights.

“Can he go on and win a world championship? Maybe when the dust settles and all these belts fragment, he’s a very good heavyweight.

“But I just feel that mindset is everything and he had the wrong mindset in that fight, and so did [Joshua] when he boxed [Oleksandr] Usyk.

“You need someone in the ear who can flick the switch at the right time.”

Hearn then compared Whyte now to the angry man that lost to Joshua back in December 2015.

He added: “The Dillian Whyte that boxed AJ… that guy was a bad motherf****r. Ready to go.

“Back then if Tyson Fury had tickled him in the press conference in the head-to-head, Dillian would have cleaned him out on sight.

“It was brilliant mind games from Tyson Fury.”
