  • GOOD EVENING

Both Switzerland and Germany are looking to secure their first win of the Nations League as they face one another at St Jakob-Park this evening.

In 51 meetings of these two sides, Germany have had the better of their neighbours 36 times.

But even German international boss Joachim Low acknowledged that there has been a real change of the tide from Switzerland since 2014 and they should not be underestimated.

Switzerland struggled to contain Ukraine in their opening game and lost 2-1.

While Germany and Spain was billed to be the big game of the Nations League thus far, but the sides had to settle for a draw.

New Chelsea man Timo Werner bagged a goal against Spain and could have easily got a second, so Switzerland would do well to keep him quiet this evening.

But it's not just Werner that poses a threat.

Vladimir Petkovic, Switzerland coach, knows what a tough opponent Low’s side are.

The Switzerland boss said: “Germany are favourites. Not only against us, but also against nearly every opponent. We want to maintain our style even if we are against Germany, to play our game.”
