On Tuesday’s episode of The Chase, Bradley Walsh welcomed four more players to the show as they attempted to take on The Chaser. Contestants Gemma, Elizabeth, Sydney and Eden had to work together as they each went head-to-head with Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis in the hopes of winning as much money as possible for their cash fund. However, as the episode came to a close, Bradley was left for words after Eden made show history.
Gemma was the first contestant up and managed to win a potential £4,000 for their cash fund.
As she went up against Darragh, he offered her a low offer of £1,000 or £30,000 as a higher offer.
However, after speaking with her teammates, Gemma decided to play it safe and go for the £4,000 offer.
Although, poor Gemma didn’t get off to the best of starts as she failed to answer the first two questions correctly.
The contestant was quickly knocked out by Darragh after she only managed to answer one question correctly in the end.
Next up was Elizabeth, who managed to storm through the quick-fire questions by winning £5,000.
However, when she took on The Chaser, Elizabeth’s luck seemed to run out as she was caught and sent home.
It was then up to Sydney and Eden to take on Darragh in the hopes of making the final round.
Retired coal miner Sydney managed to answer six questions correctly in the quick-fire question round.
When Bradley asked the contestant what he wanted to do if he won some money, the pensioner pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and told a few jokes.
After Sydney was knocked out of the show, Eden was the last contestant standing and he managed to make it through to the final on his own.
Darragh was just as surprised as Eden when he answered the majority of the questions correctly.

Darragh had two minutes to answer 18 questions correctly.
Although, it was very touch and go as the quizzer got a number of questions wrong, meaning Eden had the chance to push him back.
As the round came to an end, Darragh had 12 seconds remaining and five questions to answer correctly.
However, luck was on Eden’s side after he managed to beat Darragh – winning himself a staggering £75,000.
Bradley was overcome with excitement as he raised his hands in the air.
“Time is up,” he shouted as he gave Eden a hug to congratulate him. “I can’t believe it, £75,000.”
The host slammed the counter with joy, as he repeated: “£75,000 at 20 years of age, who is your best mate?”
Turning to Darragh, he added: “What a show!”
“What a show,” Darragh praised. “Absolutely brilliant, Eden. You set a very high target and you pushed me back.”
As the programme came to an end, Bradley told Eden it was the second-highest win in a daytime show, ever.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
