Chesney upsets Joseph in Corrie by confronting his bullies
Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) is berated by son Joseph (William Flanagan) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes after he goes behind his back.
Joseph is struggling in silence, telling Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) that Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney cannot afford to send him on the school trip.
Hope gives him Fiz’s (Jennie McAlpine) purse, and Jospeh is tempted as he eyes up the cash inside, but will he steal it?
That remains to be seen, but subsequent scenes see Chesney discover that Joseph is being bullied because they can’t afford to buy him things.
The upset parent quizzes him about the bullies, telling him that he’ll go to the school and offer to speak to his teacher if he’d like.
Joseph, however, demands that he refrain from doing so.
In spite of the little lad’s plea, Chesney decides to do just that, and let’s just say that Joseph is not pleased when he finds out.
In fact, it’s safe to say that he’s fuming!
Chesney, meanwhile, feels terrible that he’s betrayed his son’s trust, and thus he heads outside to make amends.
But he soon discovers that Joseph is missing! After a fruitless search, he returns home, informing Gemma that Joseph has run away.
Gemma, horrified, calls the police. Will Joseph be okay?
