ITV viewers will remember Gail and Eileen's infamous street brawl back in 2004 and ever since the two rivalling women have had a series of run-ins.

The feisty matriarch at at each other's throats again this festive season.

It all kicks off when George asks Gail for advice on Eileen's Christmas present.

On Christmas Day, George and Todd lead a blindfolded Eileen to the undertaker where he reveals his surprise gift.

However, it goes down like lead balloon.

The following day, Eileen discovers that it was Gail who put George up to the Christmas present idea.

Eileen lays into Gail, telling her she’s deranged, which leaves Gail’s genuinely puzzled by her ingratitude.

The following week, Todd begs Eileen to give George another chance after he pulls out all the stops to impress her.

When George presents her with a new winter coat and reveals he’s booked a table at the bistro, will he be forgiven?

Meanwhile, Christmas at at the Platts and Barlows may not be as merry as they hoped as the two families join together for a festive shindig.

In the lead up to Christmas, Sarah reveals her plans for a joint Christmas with the Barlows, leaving David’s appalled at the thought of sharing the day with the Barlows.

The day after, Sarah rounds up the Platts and Barlows and suggests they sort out their differences as she wants a joint family Christmas.

But as the two families trade insults, Sarah wonders what she’s let herself in for as her idea of a magical Christmas turns into something of a nightmare.
