Corrie's Rick killed the mum of Kelly's prison mate Mia?

Coronation Street fans had assumed that the story of Gary Windass’ (Mikey North) killing spree had been buried deeper than Rick Neelan’s body in the woods – but the story is set to be revisited when Kelly’s (Millie Gibson) fellow prisoner Mia is child to the bone when she realises Kelly’s connection to the villain.

It’s clear that Mia and her family have a sinister connection to Rick and she is filled with fear to realise that she is in the same unit as Kelly.

But she soon has a bombshell to drop on Kelly that leaves her questioning everything she has believed about her dad.

Kelly had previously arrived in the Street to search for answers about her missing dad but a guilty Gary took her under his ring, paying her school fees and recently stumping up for her legal costs.

Kelly was found guilty of murder for Seb’s death while smug killer Corey Brent (Max Evans) smugly walked away with his freedom intact.

So Kelly already has enough torment going on. Enter Mia, stage right.

Sharon visits Kelly and tells her not to worry about money as somebody made an anonymous donation to fund her case. Kelly’s heart leaps, convinced it must be her dad, proving he’s still alive.

When Mia spots Sharon she pales. Kelly explains Sharon works for her dad. Mia’s horrified to realise she’s Rick’s daughter.

Kelly confronts Mia and demands to know what her problem is with her Dad. When Mia reveals that Rick is the reason she’s locked up and her Mum’s  dead, Kelly’s stunned.

Kelly asserts her dad’s now living in Spain and paid her legal fees but Mia’s not convinced, telling Kelly she reckons someone’s done away with him.

Kelly calls Gary and demands he come and tell her the truth about her dad.

But will Gary finally crack and confess that Rick is dead and buried?
