Courteney Cox and fiancé Johnny McDaid reunite after 9 months apart

Friends star Courteney Cox and and her Brit fiancé Johnny McDaid have finally reunited after being forced apart for nine months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The actress, 56, shared a video message alongside Snow Patrol star Johnny, 44, on social media as they paid thanks to frontline workers in Derry, Ireland, which is where Johnny is from.

Courteney and Johnny have been conducting a long-distance relationship throughout the coronavirus pandemic, but it appears that the couple have reunited for Christmas, with Courteney flying across the pond.

In the short video chat, Courteney and Johnny are seen speaking to camera, with the stunning UK countryside as a backdrop.

Speaking in the video, Courteney says: "We just want to thank all the people at Ráth Mór in Creggan for all the incredible work you have done this year."

Johnny adds: "Well done guys, thank you so much for all the work, it's so appreciated. And I know it's been a really tough year, but here's to a great 2021 ahead."

The duo’s cheery video was posted on December 11 as part of a community initiative.

It was the first time the lovebirds had been seen together in nine months, after the coronavirus pandemic forced them to stay on different sides of the Atlantic.

Johnny had returned to the UK in March on the first day that the lockdown began.

Courteney revealed in October that she hadn't seen her fiancé in more than 100 days.

Speaking to Foy Vance on his Vinyl Supper podcast, she said: "At first I was like, wow what do I do with myself? I cook every day, I've learned to cook so much more, I've perfected it…

"I haven't seen John in that many days, he left when the country shut down, the day before."
