Emmerdale fans baffled by Dan blunder as he miraculously walks despite paralysis

Emmerdale fans were left baffled after spotting Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) miraculously walking again on Monday night’s episode of the soap.

Dan was left partially paralysed after an incident at the garage left him wheelchair-bound.

At the time, he suffered an allergic reaction from a wrap made by Brenda (Lesley Dunlop) at the cafe.

Dan collapsed on his back and fractured his spine in the fall, leaving daughter Amelia to care for him around the house.

His injuries even meant social services had to be called in to help organise care for the youngster.

But on Monday Dan seemed to be cured, as he was spotted in scenes with Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).

Bob confessed that he and his partner Wendy haven’t had sex since they got together last summer.

And Dan was there to provide emotional support.

Fans took to Twitter to share their outrage.

"Why’s Dan suddenly upright and unimpaired? His big spinal injury been swept beneath the carpet? LOL!" someone wrote.

Another said: "Since when did Dan recover?"

A third viewer said: "Dan fit enough to run the London marathon now then, lockdown has done him well."

And someone else penned: "Dan in Emmerdale has had the most miraculous recovery since Terry Woods."

Another fan added: "How long’s Dan been walking?"

Someone else referenced Emmerdale’s history of miraculous recoveries, writing: "Nicola, Jimmy & Dan – living proof that Emmerdale is the new Lourdes."

Half of Nicola’s body was left paralysed in a fire at Mill Cottage – but later regained the full use of her arm and leg.

And Jimmy checked himself out of hospital early on Monday after being on a ventilator following the van crash.

Later in the episode, Bob attempted to convince girlfriend Wendy to sleep with him, with a bit of Top Gun roleplay.

But she wasn't convinced, and fled from the house.

Fans are convinced Wendy will cheat on Bob with Dan as he keeps making excuses to pop in and see them.

But eventually Bob becomes so jealous he decides to confront Wendy about it.

Meanwhile, Jimmy King (Nick Miles) confessed to wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) that he 'deserves' to go to prison after crashing his van into the barn, which resulted in the death of villain Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale).

And Vinny (Bradley Johnson) couldn't face up to his father's abuse, lashing out at mum Mandy (Lisa Riley) when she tried to get him to admit Paul had been the one beating him.

Ex-girlfriend Liv also tried her best to reach Vinny, but he was having none of it.
