Emmerdale fans raging over Dawn sex work ‘plot hole’ as Jamie fires her

Emmerdale fans were left a little distracted during Monday evening's episode, as Jamie Tate cruelly sacked Dawn from her job at the adventure centre.

The mum-of-one had been working behind the bar in the centre's cafe for weeks, only for Jamie to let her go without any notice.

Dawn confessed she had received money from a man in exchange for sex, turning to prostitution in a moment of desperation.

Jamie fired her on the spot, leaving Dawn jobless and heartbroken as she faced unemployment as a single mum.

However, over on Twitter, viewers were quick to point out that Dawn could appeal the sacking, as Jamie had breached certain employment laws.

One said: “Anyway Jamie is prostitution a sackable offence if she does it in her spare time?”

“Surely that's illegal to sack someone because of what they did long before employment in this job when it didn't affect their company.. take it to a tribunal dawn Jamie is a p***k #emmerdale,” wrote a second.

And a third penned: “Would Jamie even be able to fire Dawn for that irl? “
