Emmerdale’s Moira ‘exits’ village as Cain plans brutal Jamie murder

Emmerdale viewers should prepare to potentially say their goodbyes to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb), as she thinks it's time for her to leave the village.

She and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) split up after she slept with Cain's estranged son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) last year.

And they've showed no signs of getting back together, with Emmerdale spoilers revealing that, next week, Moira receives her decree nisi.

She breaks down to business partner Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and insists that there's no way she can save her marriage to Cain.

Elsewhere, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) tells Cain he should get revenge on Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln).

Jamie framed Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for Moira's hit and run, though Nate let took the blame despite being innocent.

With revenge on his mind, the next day Cain picks up a length of metal pipe and heads out do do what he thinks needs to be done.

Sam Dingle (James Hootton) is aware of Cain's plan and rushes to Moira, pleading with her to try and help him stop Cain doing something he might regret.

Moira confronts Cain in the Dingle barn but struggles to get through to him.

She tries to remind him of what happened with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) when he thought he'd killed him and how much he struggled with the guilt.

However it's unclear whether or not Moira's words have had much effect on Cain.

Before Cain gets a chance to go through with his plan for revenge, though, he and Moira are locked in the barn by Moira's brother Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).

While trapped in the barn, Moira begs Cain to forgive her for what she's done.

Will the time alone lead to a romantic reunion?

Or will it see a heartbroken Moira leave the village for good when Cain reminds her of how she broke his heart and destroyed their marriage?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays, on ITV
