Hanna hasn’t been seen on Amazon Prime Video since July 2020, when the second series made its debut. Season three is now ready to watch will all six episodes available for fans to binge-watch. Actress Mireille Enos is back as Marissa Wiegler and while a fan-favourite in the drama, she isn’t keen on the idea of her character being admired.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Hanna.
At the start of Hanna, Marissa Wiegler (played by Mireille Enos) was the villain of the series.
She was responsible for the death of Hanna’s (Esme Creed-Miles) mum while in pursuit of Erik (Joel Kinnaman), Johanna (Joanna Kulig) and Hanna herself in 2003 Romania.
Upon discovering that Hanna was still alive, Marissa started hunting her down again.
But she has now switched sides and is working in cahoots with the trained assassin in bringing down the system altogether.
Actress Enos was among some of the actresses who attended the screening of the premiere of Hanna season three.
The evening was being held in collaboration with the wider event of celebrating “Women in Spy Thrillers”.
With the Q&A led by former CIA agent Christina Hillsberg, Enos was asked about her part in the latest series.
But when she was questioned on what it was like to be a role model for young women, the 46-year-old actress openly disagreed with what Hillsberg was suggesting.
Enos explained to Express.co.uk and other press: “I mean, I don’t know about that. I have an 11-year-old daughter and in season one, I was 100 per cent the villain.
“And then in season two, I’m now trying to protect Hanna and so my daughter said, ‘Are you the good guy now?’ and I said, ‘100 per cent not. I have no moral compass.’
“I have just changed my focus so that’s a complicated thing to answer because none of these people are good people. They’re all murderers!
“She has decided to attempt to save one life which is Hanna’s and she accomplishes that so hopefully there is some redemption for her.”

Hanna cancelled: Why is Hanna ending after season 3? [CANCELLED]
The third series sees Hanna and Marissa working closer together than ever before.
As Hanna graduates, she is sent to assassinate various targets given to her by Utrax.
With Marissa’s help, Hanna tries to protect everyone on the secret list of potential subversives in a bid to take down the system.
Sadly for fans though, this will be the end of the thrilling action series
The story of Hanna ends after season three with the drama not being renewed for a fourth outing.
Speaking to EW, showrunner David Farr explained: “That was always the intention, to be honest.
“If you look back at when I was talking about the second season, I talked about how it needed ‘the third act.’
“I come from the theatre originally, and I always have full act structure in my head to how a piece of drama plays out.
“And in this case, I felt that there was this very clear arc.”
Hanna seasons 1-3 are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
