Kim Kardashian pays tribute to her late grandfather Robert True Houghton after 'split' from Kanye West

KIM Kardashian paid tribute to her late grandfather, Robert True Houghton, over the weekend.

The KUWTK star, 40 – who is "preparing to divorce" Kanye West – shared a sepia-toned photo of a young Robert on her Instagram Stories.

Kim captioned the nostalgic snap: "My grandpa #RobertTrueHoughton."

Robert, who was Kris Jenner's father, is believed to have died in 1975 in his 40s.

He was married to Kris' mother, Mary Jo Campbell.

Khloe Kardashian paid ode to Robert in 2018 by naming her two-year-old daughter True Thompson after him.

Kris said at the time of True's birth: "I’m so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!!

"FUN FACT… my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton… my real Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!"

Kris' mother, Mary Jo – nicknamed MJ by the Kardashian clan – remarried after Robert's death to businessman Harry Shannon.

Kris previously credited Shannon as being a solid father figure in her life, revealing in a KUWTK episode: “We had a stepdad as our father figure who we loved so much.” 

Kim, meanwhile, has been leaning on her family following news that  she might soon be filing for divorce from Kanye.

Sources opened up about how the Kardashians have been a shoulder to cry on for Kim during this tough time and opened up to Us Weekly.

The Sun, meanwhile, revealed Kim is "not in a rush” to officially file for divorce from Kanye because she’s already grown so “comfortable” living a separate life from him. 

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian star has remained in Los Angeles with her four kids as the rapper continues to live over a thousand miles away on his Wyoming ranch. 

Earlier this month, reports began to run rampant that Kim is in the process of divorcing Kanye, 43, but has yet to file the official papers. 

A source close to the SKIMS founder exclusively told The Sun that she’s taking her time with the split because she has gotten used to living “separate lives.” 

“The lack of urgency with Kim officially filing for divorce comes from her becoming so comfortable living a completely separate life from Kanye, it’s already like they’ve been divorced since last year,” the insider said.

They added that Kris has been “pushing the issue so they can get the legal matters over with” and move forward but “Kim doesn’t appear to be in a rush.”
