After the hit series Love Is Blind aired their explosive reunion, a bunch of fans were left wondering whether the couples stayed married. However, viewers will soon have answers, as the Netflix show made an announcement revealing brand new series After That Alter – and fans absolutely delighted.
Taking to Twitter, the show shared news the cast will be returning to screens for the three-episode series.
This will give fans a chance to see how some of their favourite couples have been over the past year – and whether or not they are still together.
Viewers were beyond excited with the announcement and took to the replies to share their thoughts.
One commented: “Love is blind the reunion? I’ll go out there screaming, it’s too much for me.”
Another fan shared their excitement: “Holy sh–! Words cannot express how excited I am to watch this.”
This was echoed by another viewer: “I will follow this cast to the ends of the earth, I’m so excited.”
One fan confessed: “Ugh this show is my guilty pleasure, I’ll definitely be watching this Lol.”
Love is Blind gained a ton of fans worldwide after it premiered on Netflix in February last year.
The reality dating show gave 30 men and women chance to find love under one condition: they couldn’t see each other.
Over the course of three weeks, contestants had to choose and rule out their potential love interests.
This was done in a speed dating format where each member would have a conversation with one another in pods, separated by a wall.
This way each person would be able to form a genuine connection and get to know one another on a deeper level, in a chance to prove that love is blind.
Once a contestant felt like they were in love, the man had the opportunity to propose to the woman they wanted to marry.
The engaged couple would then meet each other for the first time and relocate to a resort in Mexico where they would live together and also meet other couples.
This was also a test, to see if they would still be interested, especially after meeting the other people whom they might’ve been more physically attracted to.
After Mexico, the engaged couples would meet each other’s family members then eventually decide who was going to move where.
The final decision would be made at the wedding and at the altar in front of guests.
While the man was waiting for his bride-to-be to walk down the aisle, she would be deliberating her thoughts in another room, ultimately deciding whether to still go through with the marriage.
Once at the altar the bride would be asked “is love blind” and that’s where her final answer would determine whether the couple would split up or stay together.
Season one saw some very shocking decisions with some couples leaving with tears of happiness and others in despair, so viewers will be interested to see how they’re all getting on.
All episode of Love is Blind is available to stream on Netflix.
