Love Island 2019: Caroline Flack reveals BIG secret contestants won’t know about
Caroline, 39, is back to present the fifth series of Love Island, with 12 new cast members settling in the villa before the summer of love turns up a notch.
Seven male contestants and five female cast members will be the first singletons in the initial line-up to couple up as the ITV series gets under way.
Hoping for romance, the hideaway will be back to allow couples who are getting on the chance to spend a night away from the drama unfolding the main house.
This year, there’s a slight catch though, as Caroline revealed on today’s edition of This Morning, the hideaway will be equipped with a secret compartment to spice things up.
There’s a secret compartment
Appearing alongside This Morning presenter Alison Hammond, 44, from inside the villa grounds, Caroline spilled all on the secret.
Alison asked the host: “What secrets can you tell me? Is there any nuggets you can tell me about the Love Island this year?”
Pausing for a brief moment, Caroline collected her thoughts before replying: “In the hideaway this year, there’s a secret compartment, but they [contestants] won’t know.
“They just have to find it,” the presenter teased, with Alison in shock at the tantalising news.
Eager to find out more, Alison asked: “What’s in the compartment?” to which Caroline joked: “Dunno,” as the pair burst into laughter.
Caroline did continue, adding: “ I think there’s some sort of treats. Sexy treats,” before she and Alison discussed any other changes to the villa.
Although the initial 12 contestants will be hoping to make themselves at home before a shock twist is sent their way, it seems they could be in for a big surprise with two new arrivals.
Previous series have seen new contestants enter some days after the initial launch but it could be a matter of days or hours before two new singletons are thrown into the mix.
According to recent source reports, 19-year-old pageant stars Molly-Mae Hague and Jazmine Nichol will be making quite the entrance onto the show.
“Molly-Mae and Jazmine have competed with each other since they were young teens – they know each other’s strength’s and weaknesses,” a source told the Mirror of the pageant stars.
“They are both national queens who are used to competing and will do everything they can to beat each other.”
The source continued: “If they are both interested in the same man it will be very interesting viewing, as both of these girls are very driven and will go after what they want.
“Neither of them is afraid to use tactics to get what they want. There are guaranteed to be fireworks between these two.”
Five years after it was revamped, the series has gained a huge fan base and producers are sure to be planning big things to ensure viewers it was worth the wait for the ITV reality show to return.
Could this include the arrival of Coronation Street star Colson Smith, 20, who plays loveable Craig Tinker on the ITV soap into the villa?
Colson spoke about taking part in Love Island on the British Soap Awards, in an Instagram video with his co-star, Lucy Fallon, 23.
Love Island returns tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
