Love Island fans are hoping that Sam Jackson and Mary Bedford couple up after being pied by their partners inside the villa.

Sam was broken up with by Faye Winter last night as her relationship with Teddy Soares was rekindled and Mary was told by Toby Aromolaran that he still had feelings for his ex-partner Chloe Burrows.

With both being pied off for other people within the villa, fans jumped on Twitter to voice their complaints about how they had been used.

One said: “Going into Love Island during Casa Amor must WRECK your self esteem. You either get zero screen time or, like Mary and Sam, get used as a pawn in the original Islanders’ love games. All you leave with is a water bottle and trauma.”.

Another commented: “Sam and Mary realising they’re on their way out #loveisland”.

But while some were upset that they had appeared to be used for a larger game by the initial cast, others are hoping that Sam and Mary will pair up and grow into a couple themselves.

One comment wrote: “I feel like sam should couple up with mary… that would be a COUPLE #loveisland”.

Another write: “I quite like the idea of Sam and Mary together #LoveIsland”.

A third said: “I’m saying Sam and Mary need to join forces and represent the north #LoveIsland”.

Sam found himself in a relationship with Faye after a photo from Casa Amor showed Teddy kissing Clarisse and Faye thought he had moved on.

After his return, she discovered the kiss was for a game and that Teddy had been sleeping outside the entire time.

They quickly repaired their relationship and shared a kiss, with Faye later dumping Sam.

Mary came back with Toby from Casa Amor after hitting it off but once they returned, Toby found himself confused once more.

Toby initially was stuck trying to figure out if he wanted to be with Mary or his ex-partner Abigail Rawlings after she stayed loyal, but in a surprise twist, his heart lead him back to Chloe who he had pied off for Abi originally.

Speaking to both girls privately, Toby told Abi and Mary where his heart was as he set off to try and win back his ex.

With a recoupling tonight where the girls pick who they want to partner up with, fans seem to be clamouring for Mary to pick Sam.
