Love Island’s Liam’s reason for quitting villa after a few days revealed

Liam Llewellyn has shocked fans of Love Island, after he’s reportedly quit the show just four days into the brand new series that kicked off on Monday.

Viewers of tonight’s show, which airs on ITV2 at 9pm, are said to see the 22 year old Welsh student announcing his departure to his devastated fellow Love Islanders, after gathering them around the iconic fire pit to tell them the news.

According to reports, Liam made the decision as he wasn’t enjoying the Love Island experience like he had thought that he would, and he reportedly felt that the experience would be better suited to someone else.

A source told MailOnline: "It was so unexpected, with only a few days into the series, an Islander has already walked from the villa.

"Liam felt his place on the show should be offered to someone that would enjoy the experience better, which is admirable."

It hasn’t been plain sailing for Liam since his arrival to the villa as one of the original Love Islanders on Monday.

The public had voted for him to be coupled up with Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma, 19, but she was snatched from his clutches by Italian newcomer Davide Sanclimenti, 27, who was given 24 hours to pick a girl to couple up with.

The recoupling left Liam single and vulnerable.

He was picked to go on a double date with the villa’s two newest arrivals, 27 year old Turkish actress Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and 25 year old Lounge Host Afia Tonkmor.

He left viewers of the series baffled by his ‘whispering’ voice on the dates, prompting them to turn up their TVs to hear what he was saying.

Despite being the first of the current Islanders to meet Ekin-Su and Afia, the girls quickly turned their attentions to other Islanders after entering the villa.

Ekin-Su wasted no time in getting to know Davide – much to Gemma’s disdain – and 23 year old Tasha Ghouri’s current partner, Dubai real estate agent, Andrew Le Page, 27.

Afia, meanwhile has shown an interest in 23 year old Ikenna Ekwonna, who is currently coupled up with Indiyah Polack, also 23.

Liam’s reported departure will leave two girls at risk of being dumped on Friday night.

The episode will see the boys pick which girl they would like to be coupled up with, but due to Liam reportedly leaving, there will be two girls left single and vulnerable, although it remains to be seen as to whether the dumping will still go ahead.

Viewers will no doubt be interested to see what happens next between Gemma and Luca, after the pair admitted that they fancied each other after a chat on last night’s episode.

Luca then admitted that he wanted to kiss Gemma, who coyly replied: “Not yet”, before the show drew to a close.
