Matt James Shares Sweet Birthday Tribute to BFF Tyler Cameron: 'Mama Would Be Proud'

Happy birthday, Tyler Cameron!

The former Bachelorette runner-up turned 28 on Sunday and received a lot of love from his best friend and current Bachelor Matt James on Instagram.

"Mama would be proud of the man you're becoming ❤️, Happy Birthday @tylerjcameron3 🎂," James, 29, captioned an Instagram photo of the duo.

Cameron's mother Andrea died of a brain aneurysm last February at the age of 55.

James shared more footage of the pair on his Instagram Story and took Cameron for "a walk down memory lane for your birthday." Among the snaps were photos of Cameron in the pair's first New York City apartment together and a video of Cameron playing a video game.

The Bachelor star also posted a video of the pals fishing, a photo of them running together in Florida, and a video of them shirtless near the water.

James and Cameron became close while playing football together at Wake Forest University and eventually moved into a New York City apartment together. They were also both members of the "Quarantine Crew" in Florida last year, which also included former Bachelorette Hannah Brown.

The reality stars also work together at the charity ABC Food Tours, which James founded. The non-profit is designed to teach underprivileged New York City youth about how to lead healthy, active lifestyles while giving them a chance to try new restaurants in their communities.

Cameron and James even invited students from one of the schools they visited over for a Thanksgiving dinner in November 2019.

Cameron  — who was the runner-up of Brown's Bachelorette season —  teased a potential cameo on James' current season of The Bachelor during an episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast last November.

"I saw him recently," Cameron shared at the time, seemingly hinting at his appearance on the ABC dating show. "No spoilers!"

Cameron also said James was going to give his all as the Bachelor on season 25.

"We are going to get a full dose of Matt," he said with certainty. "He's gonna have fun, he's gonna be very vulnerable, he's gonna open himself up."
