Spoilers: Alya and Faye fight back against monster Geoff in Corrie

Ever since Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) ended up in prison after being forced to fight back against her abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), Alya (Sair Khan) has been at the forefront of the campaign to clear her gran’s name in Coronation Street – and she is not afraid to tackle and confront Geoff at every turn.

Things will come to a head between them again in coming scenes as Alya accuses him of being involved in Elaine (Paula Wilcox) going missing.

Elaine has arrived with some damning information against Geoff – not only did he abuse her for years and made her life hell but she is the mother of Tim (Joe Duttine), the woman that Geoff has told Tim all his life is dead.

Alya was relieved when Elaine stepped forward and vowed to make a stand for Yasmeen and it has left Geoff understandably shaken as his true colours are on the cusp of being exposed.

It’s for this reason that he corners Elaine and issues some dark threats to her, leaving her petrified of him and what he will do. Afterwards, Alya is nervous when she can’t get in touch with Elaine and she soon reports her missing.

Geoff claims to police that he did talk to the woman but he calls her a liar and says she has made it up with Alya. Later, when Geoff makes his way into the restaurant, Alya is ready to fight back as she grabs a broom and orders him to stay back.

As the situation becomes nasty, Alya and Sally (Sally Dynevor) order Geoff to tell the truth about who Elaine is – and where she is.

As Geoff once again denies everything, Tim again takes his word for it and burns Elaine’s number. But will Alya and Sally give up here?

Or can they find Elaine and persuade her that she is safe to stick with them?
