Spoilers: Bobby is haunted by a family death in EastEnders
Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) will continue to struggle to come to terms with sister Lucy’s (Hetti Bywater) death in EastEnders, it has been confirmed.
The young man has been through a lot since returning to Walford last year following a stint in prison, and he’s attempted to make amends.
Yes, Bobby has tried to move on, and has forged new relationships with various members of the Square including Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) and Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay).
However, he’s struggled to come to terms with the death of big sister Lucy — something which viewers know he’s responsible for, after her killed her in 2014 amid one of the serial drama’s biggest ever storylines.
The BBC One soap has been posting short updates on their social media accounts in relation to what characters have been getting up to — and how they’ve been coping — while in lockdown, and Bobby’s edition has revealed quite a bit about the young man in question.
According to his ‘Lockdown Lowdown’, Bobby has aided Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Max (Jake Wood) in doing deliveries for Walford East.
However, he became ‘increasingly nervous about catching coronavirus’, and therefore, ‘started to develop issues with constant and extreme hand washing routines’
The coronavirus pandemic has also got Bobby thinking about the future, and therefore — still haunted by Lucy’s death — he decides to set up ‘The Lucy Beale Foundation’ charity.
EastEnders returns Monday, September 7 at 8:05pm on BBC One.
