Spoilers: Mitch and Gray come to blows over Chantelle's death in EastEnders

Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) has been desperately searching for answers in the wake of Chantelle Atkins’ (Jessica Plummer) death in EastEnders, and he and Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) ultimately come to blows.

Mitch was devastated to hear that Chantelle died while he and Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) were in Southend.

He is hellbent on getting to the bottom of what happened, and he has a conversation with Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) in this week’s episodes.

Meanwhile, the grief in the Taylor household continues next week, as Karen searches through old family photos for Chantelle’s funeral.

Mitch decides to help her, and they’re both soon in tears as a result.

With emotions running high, they lean in for a kiss, but Gray enters.

What happens next remains to be seen, but later in the week, there is animosity aplenty between Mitch and Gray.

Gray argues that Mitch made his life a living hell, and that he tried to turn Chantelle against him.

What’s more, he proceeds to call Mitch a terrible father.

Believing the abuser’s comments, Mitch subsequently breaks down in tears.
