Peter Crouch could be one of the famous faces stepping out on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor when the BBC series returns later this year. The former footballer is reportedly an ideal signing for bosses and he could make history as the tallest ever contestant on the show if he decides to sign up to the completion.
Peter has become a hit with BBC bosses after his show with Maya Jama proved to be a success with viewers.
Crouchy’s Year-Late Euros Show came to an earlier this month but bosses reportedly want to see him back on screens in the autumn.
Strictly could prove to be a family affair for Peter as his wife Abbey Clancy won the show back in 2013.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have chalked up the former footballer at 7/2 to take part.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Hopefully Crouchy’s dancing has vastly improved since his robot days.
“Otherwise his stint on Strictly could be a short one, leaving Abbey with all the bragging rights.”
The 6ft 7in former footballer would make history as the tallest contestant to date if he signed up.
A source said: “Peter is hugely popular and would be a phenomenal signing.”
“The casting team were especially keen because he had such a high profile during the Euros,” a source told The Sun on Sunday.
“Taller men have struggled but he would stand out a mile on the dance floor.”
Although BBC bosses are reportedly eager to sign him up, his wife may not be so keen.
When she won the Glitterball Trophy in 2013, she revealed her husband isn’t a stranger to the dance floor.

“We do dance after a couple of drinks,” she said at the time.
However, she cheekily revealed her husband has “two left feet” later on.
The former England footballer was famously known for his robot dance goal celebration.
Will he follow in his wife’s footsteps and lift the Glitterball Trophy?
