The Savoy guest compares £21 steak tartare starter to a 'posh' Big Mac

The Savoy viewers were in stitches after one guest in the restaurant compared the steak tartare starter to a ‘posh’ Big Mac.

The dish which would set you back £21 (not including the caviar), failed to impress one of the hotel’s regulars, Josh.

Josh and his partner Jasmine travel from Cardiff to eat at The Savoy Grill once a month.

‘You are our guinea pig,’ the waiter Thierry explained.

‘We are going to do it now for the first time in The Savoy Grill history at the table.’

When asked what he thought, he said: ‘I’ll be brutally honest? To me, it was like eating a Big Mac, I’m not going to lie.

‘It’s like a posh Big Mac, we’re Welsh mate we love a Big Mac we do.’

Jasmine added: ‘I think McDonald’s need to come here and get some tips.’

Taking to Twitter, viewers just couldn’t get over his feedback – and neither can we.

One tweeted: ‘A posh Big Mac literally me when I go to posh places.’

While another said: ‘Do you think they stand in the kitchen at McDonald’s and say the Big Macs taste like Steak Tartare?’

One added: ‘Yeah…!!!!! Go to #TheSavoy and say steak tartar is like a posh Big Mac…!!!’
