As fans watched the three chosen traitors select Matt to be murdered and sent packing from the savage TV show, fans were gutted for the handsome star, who just yesterday discovered his secret crush, Alex, had a boyfriend who was also on the show.

“Awww Matt was great eye candy. Let’s get him on Love Island!?!” suggested one viewer.

A second agreed: “Glad Matt’s gone tbh. He can go on Love Island now where he belongs #thetraitors,” to which other commented: “he’d be perfect!” and “ he is major eye candy”

Magician Tom decided to announce their secret romance in hopes that the players would stop accusing his girlfriend of being a traitor and have her killed off the show.

But Matt, who connected with Alex from day one, was left in tears after the discover, having believe he had a real connection with Alex, something she admitted to herself.

“Matt thought he was falling in love with Alex all along. That’s brutal,” said one viewer.

“Oh poor Matt! Dude is heartbroken. I feel so bad for him,” added another, while a third penned: “This is more dramatic than a soap…I feel so bad for Matt he really liked Alex.

Matt was seen speaking to the camera, saying he felt like he was about to be broken up with by a girl “and you know you are, but they were never yours.”

He also told Alex that his emotional reaction “wasn’t just because I found out you had a boyfriend,” but because she “broke that trust.”

Tonight’s episode saw the ocntestants try to win prize money by playing hide and seek, with two players having to hide inside graves – buried alive. Many fans were quick to compare the task to an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! bushtucker trial.

“It’s giving I’m a celeb vibes,” said one viewer.

Another agreed: “I thought I’m A Celeb ended last week… #TheTraitors,” while a third echoed: “What in the I’m a celeb is happening.”
