This Morning host Ruth Langsford has hinted at switching up her career just days after she returned to the ITV show.

The 62-year-old has been presenting This Morning alongside Rylan Clark since Monday (August 22) which marked her first appearance in nearly one year.

During Wednesday morning's programme (August 24), the fan-favourite duo welcomed on reality stars Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge to talk about TOWIE as it hits its 30th series.

During the chat, Ruth made it apparent that she would love to have a crack at starring on the show as she said: "Oh my yes I would love to be on TOWIE."

Fully supporting the idea, Amy exclaimed: "Oh you'd be so great on TOWIE before Ruth added: "I'm not sure what I'd do though."

The OG TOWIE star continued: "Right we'll get you on the show, let's make it happen!"

It marks Ruth's first stint presenting on the show since her husband and former co-host, Eamonn Holmes, sensationally quit.

The married couple previously co-hosted the show on Fridays, before being replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.

Since Ruth and Rylan have joined forces for this week's presenting gigs, fans have absolutely loved the dynamic duo on their screens, with one taking to social media today and writing: "@thismorning love Rylan and Ruth xx more of them please."

Another added: "Love love love Rylan and Ruth together. More please! #ThisMorning."

"@Rylan and Ruth Langsford are my favourite presenters on This Morning," claimed another while a fourth penned: "Get Ruth and Rylan to be main hosts! Mix of both presenters is epic. This could be a huge win for men and women aged 30-50. I’d deffo tune in more."

As someone else echoed: "More please of Ruth and Rylan together Love you two together. I have not watched this morning for a longtime, it's lovely to see you both back #thismorning."
