Three years ago, we lost Anton Yelchin in a tragic car accident. The actor, who’d starred in “Star Trek,” “Fright Night,” and “Green Room,” was only 27 when he was found found pinned between his Jeep Grand Cherokee and a pillar outside his house in Studio City, California.
A new documentary called “Love, Antosha” tells the actor’s story through archival footage and behind-the-scenes photos, as well as footage shot by Yelchin himself.
Besides interviews with his parents, Irina and Viktor Yelchin, the documentary features recollections from co-stars Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Kristen Stewart, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ben Foster, and Willem Dafoe, and insights from directors including J.J. Abrams and Jodie Foster.
There are also interview segments with the late actor himself, as well as audition reels and footage shot by Yelchin himself at various points in his life.
Watch the trailer, which opens with Yelchin adorably going “Pew, pew, pew” on the “Star Trek” set.
