TOM Parker rose to fame as a member of chart-topping boy band The Wanted and after seven years, the band is finally set to make a comeback after rallying around the star, who revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.
The five-piece band will return for a charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall on September 20 2021 in the hopes of raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.
Who is Tom Parker?
Born August 4, 1988, Thomas Anthony Parker is an English singer best known for being a member of British-Irish boy band The Wanted.
The Wanted released three studio albums with their eponymous debut album reaching number four on the UK Albums Chart with their two singles, All Time Low and Glad You Came both topping the UK Singles Chart.
In 2014, the band announced that they would be taking a hiatus but were keen to work together in the future.
Since then Tom has appeared on several reality shows including Celebrity MasterChef, The Jump and The Real Full Monty.
Tom is now set to reunite with his old bandmates for a charity concert on September 20 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Discussing the show, Tom said: "It is quite nice to be able to do something that is not related to treatment, it is like nothing has ever changed."
The band also revealed that they were releasing a brand new single, written by Max George.
The concert will be in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, who Tom is also working with to produce a documentary about his battle against the illness.
Who is Tom Parker's wife Kelsey Hardwick and do the couple have children?
Kelsey is a dancer and actress who runs performing arts school, K2K Stars Performing Arts Academy.
Tom got engaged to Kelsey Hardwick in 2016 and they married in July 2018 in a romantic ceremony in the grounds of Ridge Farm in Surrey surrounded by their family and closest friends.
On June 30, 2019, they welcomed their first child together, daughter, Aurelia Rose.
In May 2020 the couple announced they have another baby on the way.
What type of cancer does Tom Parker have?
On October 12, 2020, Tom revealed he been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour (stage 4 glioblastoma).
The star suffered a seizure in July, 2020, and took himself to A&E where he was put on a waiting list for an MRI scan.
Six weeks later he had another more serious seizure during a family trip to Norwich and was rushed to hospital.
He has since started treatment for his condition – after refusing a prognosis – and is thought to be "responding well".
