‘Earth 2’ new planet discovered and it’s likely to be home to alien life
Boffins have discovered a new planet hailed “Earth 2” which they say could support alien life.
The distant planet, officially called “Wolf 1069 b”, is roughly the same size as ours, habitable and likely to have water on the surface.
Its average temperature is thought to be the same as England’s at 13C. And, like Earth, it orbits its star.

Scientists say it is one of the most likely and nearest places to find ETs.
But, it is 31 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus, meaning it would take three decades to reach it – if we could travel at 670,616,629mph.
Diana Kossakowski, whose 50-strong team at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Germany found it, said: “Astronomy is a collaborative effort – we are many with the same goal in mind of continuing the hunt for more exciting planets out there.”
She said it was vital Earth continues to invest in new technology capable of detecting life at long distances – although such a breakthrough is at least a decade away.
“We’ll probably have to wait another 10 years for this. Perhaps our grandchildren will experience us finding life on another planet,” she added.
This news comes after a UFO expert claimed that aliens "have an agenda" and stated "they don't come in peace".

Malcolm Robinson, one of the UK's leading extra-terrestrials specialists, has been investigating UFO's for 45 years and said the "UFO enigma is real".
"What is in no doubt, is that the UFO enigma is real, very real, it has been with us throughout time," he said.
"We see this in Renaissance paintings and old cave paintings, these strange shapes and entities."
He added that due to the "thousands of UFO abductions" that occur globally, he doubts that they're "peaceful".
