France shooting: Three police officers shot dead and fourth wounded in horror attack

France’s Gendarmarie national police force confirmed the news this morning.

It happened just after midnight n Puy-de-Dôme. Police officers were rescuing a woman during a domestic violence incident in a hamlet, according to French news outlet BFM TV.

The woman had allegedly taken refuge on the roof of a house, according to BFM TV.

The suspect is a 48-year-old man.

Two officers were shot by a man as they tried to approach a house, which has now been set on fire, according to local reports. One officer of his injuries and a second was taken to hospital with a thigh wound.
