Man arrested as young mum and two kids missing, cops ‘increasingly concerned’

Police have arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of a missing mum and two children.
Bennylyn Burke, 25, and the youngsters were last seen at her home in South Gloucestershire, England on February 17.
They were reported missing earlier this month, the Daily Record reports.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on Friday more than 400 miles away in Dundee, Scotland.
He is being held in custody.
Detective Superintendent Graeme Mackie, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Officers in Dundee attended a property on Troon Avenue around 3.20pm on Friday, 5 March, 2021, as part of an enquiry into a missing 25-year-old woman, Bennylyn Burke, and two children from South Gloucestershire.

“As a result, a 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this and enquiries are ongoing.
“Bennylyn’s next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by colleagues in Avon and Somerset Police.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days and we thank the local community for their cooperation at this time."
Avon and Somerset Police previously said they were "increasingly concerned for her and her children's welfare" after they travelled to Dundee.
Police searched a five bedroom detached home on Friday.
A spokesman said at the time: "Officers are currently at a property on Troon Avenue in Dundee as part of an ongoing enquiry.
"The incident is contained and there is no threat to the wider public.
"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and officers are not looking for anyone else in connection.
"Enquiries are ongoing.”
Officers are urging anyone with information to get in touch.
