Meghan Markle and Prince Harry switch between cars to evade US paparazzi

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were switching between cars in a bid to evade paparazzi in the US.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world in 2020 when they announced that they were taking a step back from being senior members of the Royal Family, before subsequently moving to California.

Only a couple of months after their move, LA-based photographer Mark Karloff says he observed the pair using two different vehicles and believes it could have been a ploy to evade LA's relentless paparazzi.

The Paparazzi Podcast host told the Daily Star: "The first one was pretty obvious when they took the dogs for a walk.

"The second car, photographers were telling me, as well as pictures I saw, was grey.

"I would think (evading paparazzi), if they have any kind of advisors suggesting anything to them, or they are thinking about it themselves, it's pretty much the logical thing to do I would think. But you need to have two to three cars on hand to push it out.

"That's speculation obviously, but it happens a lot among higher end celebrities."

He added how the duo may have thought their "cover was blown" after first seeing images of themselves next to their car on the first occasion.

Karloff continued: "This is LA, there are probably 200 to 300 photographers around, they're really hungry for pictures right now.

"If they were out and about, they could expect to get it constantly if they decide to frequent any place.

"There are different breeds of photographers, there are photographers we would call savages that will pretty much do anything to get a picture. They will stay as many hours as they need to wait for an exit or wait for them to come out."

He revealed that shots of the royal couple's £11million mansion were so sought after, that they could have fetched a price of $250,000 (£200,000).
