Melania slams aide who made claim Donald Trump was ‘inappropriate’
Melania Trump has slammed her former chief of staff following claims Donald Trump “behaved inappropriately” toward a young female staff member at the White House.
Trump’s former press secretary Stephanie Grisham discussed the “unusual interest” Mr Trump allegedly took in the young staffer in an exclusive interview with ABC News on October 4.
Ms Grisham said she tried to keep the aide away from the former president, but there was little more she could do to protect her as “there’s not an HR department at the White House."
But the accusation seemed to pluck a nerve for the former first lady.
The 51-year-old aid in a statement today: “The author is desperately trying to rehabilitate her tarnished reputation by manipulating and distorting the truth about Mrs Trump.
“Ms Grisham is a deceitful and troubled individual who doesn’t deserve anyone’s trust.”
Both Mr and Ms Trump have vehemently denied Ms Grisham’s account of her time in the White House.
Grisham was a close friend of the First Lady, but fell out with her after Trump supporters rioted outside the Capitol Building in the mistaken belief that the election had been “stolen”.

Grisham received a one-word answer: “No”.
