Moment police car smashes through shop window in narrow escape from oncoming car

Footage has emerged showing the moment a police car swerved and smashed into a shop as it tried to avoid a collision with another driver while responding to a 999 call.

The vehicle rammed straight through the supermarket Spar, on Longstone Street, Lisburn, Northern Ireland at around 11.35am on Wednesday, September 21.

Reports say the police car had swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle that had already started to turn right and was in the other lane when they approached at speed.
